Predatory gold buying practices. I went in there yesterday with a 14k gold ring that weighed 3.12 grams. I asked what they would pay, if I were to sell it. The man took it to the back room for about 5 minutes- then he came back without my ring and tried to hand me $131.00. I said “no, I just wanted to know what it was worth, I want my ring” . The man said “ok” then proceeded to head back to the back room- he stayed back there for at least 5 minutes- I started getting very nervous and I asked the girl at the counter where he was and why he wasn’t bringing my ring back. When the man finally came back out, he tried to offer me $180 for the ring and I once again said “no”. He then proceeded to tell me that they are the highest paying place in the area and tried to tell me my ring was really only 12k gold lol. Anyway, the current scrap value for a 14k ring that’s 3.12 is roughly around $267. While I understand that they need to make some money off the transaction, initially offering me exactly half of the scrap value was absolutely predatory. Also, the fact that he didn’t return my ring immediately, when I requested, and then turned around and kept pushing me to sell, made me very uncom

I had a great experience selling some silver and various coins with this biz. I'd highly recommend them. I'll tell ya why. It's one of those local businesses that truly is rare when it comes to their genuine reputation and purposely intent that's demonstrated in how their team does business. They've been around for years and I've always *only* heard good things well, I can claim the same. I'm disabled and am unable to get out of my home for an extended period of time. I called to discuss selling what I described and they met me with a roughly competitive offer before I had my father even stop down yet. He then did and I handled the rest of it over the phone still. Everything was chill and it was nice to get some easy, quick cash. I thought about this as I was getting some things together to be brought down again some time in the coming days. Thanks again. =)

10 out of 10 experience. The staff is amazing. The dress selection is top tier. If you're Prom shopping don't walk, run to Tom's Coffee!

We went to Tom’s to look at their prom dress selection for my daughter and it was a great experience! The girls on staff were so sweet and helpful and allowed my daughter to pick and try on as many dresses she wanted and let her go at her own pace to figure out what styles she liked. They had a beautiful selection of dresses in all sizes, styles, and colors. The staff was not overbearing but there to assist anytime we needed! We appreciated the fact that we did not need an appointment since my daughter got a last minute invite and we needed something quickly. It was a bit of tight quarters in the store (but that is only because they have it packed wall to wall with all the beautiful dresses.) Overall a wonderful prom dress shopping experience- we had fun and found the perfect dress!

Went to Tom's Coffee Cards & Gifts today and sold some old serving plates and gravy boats etc that were my mother's, and all my broken odds and ends of pieces of gold and silver that's been sitting in my jewelry box for years for absolutely no good reason, lol. Got over $1,000. Highly recommend Tom Kelleher. Decent and honest to the bone. Thank you Tom!
